Four years ago, I started on a journey into condominium management, driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact in the communities I oversaw. Embracing both the challenges and opportunities, I worked diligently to build my expertise and reputation in the industry.

Recently, I reached a pivotal moment in my career when I recognized the need for a new direction. After careful consideration, I decided it was time to take a bold step and forge my own path. In August 2024, I took the exciting leap of establishing Read Property Management, a new venture where I could fully apply my vision for condominium management.

Winston Churchill famously said, “A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.” This quote resonates deeply with me, and I strive to live life with an optimistic mindset, always seeking the silver lining in every situation. This perspective is one that I feel many should be trying to follow.

The past weeks have been among the busiest and most enjoyable I’ve experienced. I’ve been navigating the complexities of starting a business from scratch, including establishing the company, exploring branding options, seeking out partnerships that align with my vision, and evaluating the best financial services to lay the groundwork for what I wanted Read Property Management to become.

Although it was a busy few weeks, I felt a growing sense of confidence and excitement throughout the process. I knew this was the right path, and I was eager to bring a fresh perspective to condominium management as it is an industry that yearns for it.

It is no secret that condominiums are on the rise. As noted in a recent CCI Golden Horseshoe article, condo living is becoming increasingly popular to the tune of 1.7 million Ontarians living in condos, and half of the homes built in the province each year are condos. On the flip side of this, the industry currently has many issues, including a shortage of condominium managers, limited skill sets of existing condominium managers, a need for improved industry communication, and an urgent call for owners to actively join their condo boards.

At Read Property Management, my goal is to deliver exceptional, personalized services that cater to the unique needs of each community we manage. We believe in maintaining properties that are not only well-kept but are also strategic and transparent in their financial dealings and, most importantly, are places where people genuinely enjoy living.

We understand that every community is unique, and we are dedicated to providing the attention and care each one deserves. Regular interactions with board members and owners keep everyone aligned, ensuring that each community under our care receives the focused attention it needs to thrive.

The future is bright for Read Property Management, and I am eager to bring our vision to life.
